At ButterUp, we believe everyone should have access to wholesome, clean, delicious food. Our nut butters have bold, decadent flavours that you won’t find anywhere else, made with clean, natural ingredients you can trust. Proudly made in New Zealand, our spreads are vegan, naturally gluten-free, refined-sugar free (except our chocolate flavours), and completely non-peanut, making them perfect for the whole family.
Our journey started as two creative friends who shared a love of food. Believe it or not, we met while selling socks and undies (yes, you read that right!). We were looking for foods that were both healthy and tasty and started experimenting with hemp, which is a nutrient powerhouse, and what began as a passion project soon grew into The Hemp Butter Co.
Six years later, we launched ButterUp, with a beautiful range of almond butters, cashew butters, and pistachio butters that are indulgent, nutrient-dense, and made with whole ingredients right here in New Zealand.
We’ve made it our goal to create non-peanut spreads that not only satisfy cravings but also deliver real nutritional benefits. Our nut butters are flavour-packed and naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, healthy fats, protein, and fibre.
